Smith County offers a wealth of opportunities that few communities can match. We have near access to several four lane highways. Smith County has Airport access approximately 20 miles away in Jackson, and several regional airports are even closer. We are served by the Illinois Central Gulf Rail Road. Several areas of the county are already under rapid development, and plans are in the works to increase traffic through the area and provide even greater accessibility. Acres of potential industrial sites are available across the county, with a portion of this land being site ready. There are ample locations for homes and businesses as well. Smith County offers an attractive rural setting, a modest cost of living, safe communities in which to raise a family, good education and quality health care.

Some industry is located throughout the county. There are about 20 acres available in Raleigh but most of the existing industry in Smith County is located in West Taylorsville Industrial Park in Taylorsville, Mississippi. This site has a total of 100 acres though only 86 acres are available for purchase at this time. The remaining acreage can be purchased as one tract or divided into several parcels to meet any kind of manufacturers needs.

The town of Taylorsville has a solid infrastructure and assets that can meet the needs of any industrial requirements. In a broader sense, family living needs such as education, housing, health, and other services complement the abilities to meet industry needs. Smith County is a good place to locate in a pleasing countryside environment, yet with access to all the technical living requirements of today.
